Ice Edge Café is situated along the
Simon Road row of eateries, just round the corner from the famous Punggol Nasi
Lemak stall. Here, you'll experience an
'icy' cool feeling as the air conditioning seems pretty much at full blast.
There was a steady flow of young adult diners coming in for food and shelter
from the blazing sun when I was there.
I was greeted by welcoming smiles
when I stepped in and Ice Edge served a decent variety of main meals and
desserts so you should be able to find something suitable. Décor was simple,
fuss-free and casual.
I started with a Hazelnut hot latte.
It had a subtle taste of hazelnut flavor which wasn’t overpowering and served
at a nice warm temperature.
I heard some good reviews about
their molten lava cake and so I ordered it with Tiramisu Ice Cream and I must
say the dessert came creatively displayed which wet my appetite. The chocolate
was oozing out as I digged into the Lava Cake so it was done nicely. The
Tiramisu ice-cream complemented the cake well and I will say overall, it was a great
dessert for my afternoon tea.
My companion had waffle with 2
scoops of ice-cream and he walloped it up. His comments were that the waffles
were not bad; ice-cream was good as it’s not that sweet and overall he enjoyed
