Baker’s Brew is opened by a young entrepreneur couple Jin and Serene who are directors of the cafe. It’s quite “ulu” but for those of you familiar with Sembawang Shopping Centre, it’s just a 5 minute walk across from it. Check out google maps to get a clearer picture of the exact location of the place.
This integrated bakery and café conducts baking lessons for adults and children (above 7 yrs. old) at the café itself. They are also open for birthday baking parties. It’s a good time to get together with your friends who are aspiring bakers.
At the moment, they serve freshly baked and unique cakes, bread, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, and macarons. Their coffee machine arrives in one month’s time so they currently do not serve beverages. Look out for it!
The overall feel of this whole place is spacious and bright with an open concept. The white-washed interior walls expands the visual space. Pine-coloured furniture and few accents of green plants add a good amount of warmth to the white cold interior walls.
I tried their Bananatello cake and found it very unique. It’s slightly creamy but not overpowering and the amount of banana balanced the richness of the cream nicely. It’s worth a try for banana lovers. At the price of $7.50, the serving is generous and I do recommend Bakers Brew for their freshly baked and unique variety of cakes.
