The only difference is that the BX High Altitude Coffee Maker is equipped with a different kind of thermostat, which is designed specifically for use at high altitudes.

At high altitudes, water boils at a lower temperature. Furthermore, the high altitude thermostat prevents the water from being heated continuously.

The Bunn BX High Altitude Coffee Maker is also built with Bunn’s patented brewing technology. First, it preheats water to the optimal brewing temperature.

Its internal thermostat keeps the water at brewing temperature even when the coffee maker is idle. Therefore, it dramatically eliminates the need to wait for the water to heat up.

Second, it boasts the patented sprayhead design, which is efficient in extracting coffee flavor. Not only does it do a good job of extracting the essential oils and flavors form the coffee grounds, but it is also able to do so in such a short time.

As a result, it can brew 10 cups of coffee in just 3 minutes. To keep the coffee warm, you may switch on the porcelain-coated warming plate by toggling the switch mounted at the front of the coffee maker.
