Find: Where to buy Coffee Beans in Singapore (or any where in the world)
Percolate is a casual, unpretentious café situated in the Bedok North estate. I like the fact that everything is kept simple and I can see people from all walks of life sipping their coffees while I was there. The owners made use of natural materials such as dried flowers to decorate up the place and most of the furniture in Percolate are made from wood, adding to the overall cozy factor.
Having had quite a lot of chocolate cakes the previous week, I opted for the salted caramel cake today. They do not bake their cakes in-house so the bakes are out-sourced. The salted caramel cake ($6) was served tastefully on a floral motif plate with rainbow sprinkles and salted caramel sauce drizzled by the side. The combination of the sweet caramel and salt was done well so I didn’t feel that the cake was too salty or sweet. Another plus point was the sponge texture was good and soft. That being said, the cake was light enough to be polished off all by myself.
Friends staying in or near Bedok, do check out this great find. I like Percolate for reasonable prices and unassuming décor where I can walk in with my shorts and flip flops for a cuppa and not feel out of place.

Most likely, the ratio of coffee to water and the way the coffee is extracted are to blame. If you fix these, your coffee might taste better.

There is no substitute for Turkish coffee's thick, rich flavor because it is produced in a unique way using an Ibrik, a copper pot that most people don't own.
