The Schaerer Coffee Art Plus is a super automatic coffee machine whose main party trick is its ability to offer incredibly consistent milk texture and temperature control. It offers push button operation, dual bean hoppers, dedicated grinders, and multi drink selection, which enables users to select drinks like cappuccinos and lattes on top and above of the regular black coffee.
However, users will love this machine for its Best Foam technology, which produces silky smooth foam with extremely fine air bubbles. This makes it one of the most proficient coffee machines at producing high quality foam on an automatic setting.

At first glance, the Schaerer Coffee Art Plus, looks like a formidable and serious piece of equipment. This is due to its fairly large footprint, especially when paired with the milk fridge and syrup cabinet. Its design exudes functionality, and has the look of something that would be
best employed in a high volume buffet line or used as a coffee machine for large offices. While the curved black panels that outline the stainless steel panels on the Art Plus look very professional and in a way timeless, some might say that the design of the Art Plus has the tendency to look a little bit too functional, if not a little bit boring.
The Schaerer Coffee Art Plus as an Office Coffee Machine:
A quick browse through its drink menu reveals an astonishing variety of drinks that are already programmed, based on its full setup. Schaerer says that when fully equipped with the full selection of coffee beans, powder mixes, and syrups, the machine is capable of holding up to 400 different drink recipes that can be produced fully autonomously with one touch.
That is a seriously impressive variety of drinks for an office, and could single-handedly keep an office of more than 300 pax entertained with its drink choices. Apart from your standard coffee drinks like a long black, cappuccino, or latte, you can also opt for drinks like a hazelnut mocha, green tea latte, or even a mint hot chocolate if you should so desire.
With its dual hoppers, and dedicated grinders, you can stock up to two different coffee blends with their own respective grind settings, which means that there is no compromise when it comes to the optimal grind settings for a particular coffee blend. In the Art Plus’ powder mix hopper, you can opt to house either a crowd favourite like hot chocolate or something more unique like matcha powder, or even milk tea powder.
The Best Foam technology offered on the Art Plus is also a thing of beauty, as it is able to turn fresh / UHT milk into a silky smooth foam that goes brilliantly on top of your drink. It also has the ability to produce cold foam, which is something that is quite uncommon to find in any coffee machine.
Other features that are found on the Schaerer Coffee Art Plus super automatic machine are an adjustable outlet, which is crucial for office use, due to the variance in heights of everyone’s reusable mug, as well as a standalone water dispenser function which dispenses hot water for those who prefer a simple cup of tea.

Schaerer Coffee Art Plus as a Commercial Espresso Machine:
While equipped to handle the varietal demands of an office well, the Schaerer Coffee Art Plus also puts in a great shift when it comes to functioning as a commercial espresso machine. When it comes to operating an F&B outlet, it is always challenging to ensure consistent product quality. In the case of coffee, there are two main variables that can contribute to this inconsistency, and the Art Plus helps to mitigate both of them.
Firstly, the dual hoppers and dedicated grinders allow the operator to carry two different coffee blends, like in a specialty coffee shop, without the need for staff to know how to calibrate the grind size for each respective blend.
Secondly, the Best Foam technology helps to ensure that regardless of the barista’s skill level, they will be able to produce consistent milk quality throughout the day. Should there be a need to customise the foam of the drink, there is also a standalone steam wand that can be used to produce foam manually.

Apart from providing consistency, the Schaerer Coffee Art Plus is also reliable, and is easy to maintain. It is built for volume and according to its specifications sheet, can comfortably produce about 250 drinks in one day, which is a conservative estimate. Reliability is also a key factor when dealing with commercial espresso machines, and the Art Plus excels in this regard as well.
The key components such as the grinder, brewing unit, and boiler, have all been stress tested by Schaerer for up to 500,000 times, and should stand up to even the demands of a buffet line or a high volume coffee shop.
The Art Plus also uses a modular plastic brewing unit, which basically means that in the event of a breakdown of the brewing unit, you can simply remove it, and plug in a new one with minimal downtime. This is crucial is you are running an F&B operation that cannot afford any down time.
