These folks go to Starbucks not for their coffee

Starbucks loves china, so much that recently they are planning to grow coffee beans in Yunan. The reason is of course simple -China with more than 1 Billion population is a driver of growth for Starbucks or any company.

Now, we also know that China is a tea drinking country, with coffee being introduced to it recently. This has led to many experts saying that Starbucks growth in China is due to expats and now the local population.

This theory might soon be refuted. Some research shows that Chinese are indeed going to Starbucks, although they do not go there to drink coffee!

The Chinese go there to hang, and of course in the process would order a cup of coffee. In fact more Chinese buy their coffee and drink in the premise as compared to the US

I guess Starbucks might have seen this coming, as their cafe in China is much bigger, with more seating space. Anyway, whether it is for their coffee or not, Chinese loves starbucks and the next phrase of growth for this company would most likely be in this region...
