kitchen aide red programable coffee maker--sells for around $100.00

Bought 4 years ago, got a call from kitchen aide 2 years ago saying it was a "catch on fire hazard"--told me to cut off plug and send it to them and they would send me a new coffee maker--which they did. The new one is just over 2 yrs old--out of warrantee and the electronics have failed--needless to say, I am not pleased--for 100.00 it should last longer--at my office I have a very basic mr. coffee that cost 15.00 and it is 12 years old and still going strong.
