Is there a proper brewer out there?

I've been through some deep trenches in search of the almighty coffee brewer. Since college I've tried it all. The Mr. Coffees, The Bunns, The Percolators, The Cuisinarts; they are all the same to me.

I've spent vacations and weekends trying to perfect the best brew from these machines and have come to a conclusion, they don't have the ability to do it.

Of course, it's the usual response, the water isn't hot enough, the grinds are too fine or too coarse, the beans just plain old are garbage.

With that said, I dove head first into roasting and am now building my skills in roasting. A fresh roast, with a consistent grind and the right water temp will indeed deliver a great tasting cup of java.

In time, I have added the Capresso Burr grinder, the Europress and the Behmor 1600 roaster to my arsenal.

I've turned out some unique coffees and continue to experiment. The brewer of choice is my Europress and I'm looking into the Technivorm coffee brewer; the reviews have been outstanding, but will continue to search for the ultimate brew.
