I have to use an expensive distilled water for the coffee

Although in other reviews I have read many raves and good reviews about this product.

I've been drinking coffee for twenty years and have tried lots of different contraptions. I've tried the french press, the pod machines, the italian perculator, the vietnamese drip method, the reverse pressure, the starbucks barrista machines...and so on.

I bought this one because it looks great. Or so I thought, because I was so excited at first.

I got it because it matched my other appliances and was interested to see if the built in carafe was a better idea.

It wasn't. I still had to wash the built in carafe. It was more awkward and had unreachable corners that a regular carafe doesn't. The coffee did not stay fresh after hours of sitting on the heating element.

You can't get the water in the machine without getting it all over the countertop. I think I have wasted my money for this and should have invested in a better performing machine.

Also, to be able to make a good coffee in this machine, I have to use an expensive distilled water for the coffee.
