Leading meat processor company, Tyson Foods have just invested in Beyond Meat, a plant-based protein company that produces vegan patties.


This news has raised not just the eyebrows of meat eaters, but the hairs on vegans and vegetarians.

The notion of a meat company, moving towards a plant-based protein company raises the question of: With the help of a company as huge as Tyson, will vegan protein be made more readily to consumers or should this ring alarm bells for vegans and vegetarians worldwide, as the source of their plant-based diet is no longer “clean”?
