From their website, Saveur prides herself as a restaurant that offers quality yet affordable French cuisine to the masses. Saveur aims to serve her own interpretation of French food, bringing French cuisine to everyone using local products at down-to-earth prices.
Interior was minimalist in its furnishing and colour. The restaurant was pretty dark with black ceilings, dark chairs and floor tiles but diners were able to enjoy a lovely warm ambience with the clever use of lightings.
We had the Mushroom Soup ($4.90), Duck Confit ($12.90), Chicken Roulade ($9.90) and Pistachio Panna Cotta ($6.90). From the prices, you can see how affordable they priced their food. Service was good and the food came rather quickly too. Thumbs up for their service considering the crowd they pulled in.
For the food, the soup and duck confit were pretty salty. I read other reviews online that praised the duck confit so I am not sure if they did not cure the duck properly that day.
Chicken Roulade was fine and I like the Pistachio Panna Cotta very much. I am a lover of pistachios and the pistachio bits offered a good contrast to the smooth panna cotta. I will definitely order this again on my next visit.
Decent food at affordable prices is how I will put it, if you are looking for premium French dining at cheap prices, this is not the place for you.
