This is a small café located in the Everton Park neighbourhood. This area is becoming another hip place to hangout with all these little cafes sprouting up. Audacious looks more like a take-away joint at first glance as it has a huge display counter and only couple of small tables at the side.

The presentation of the cakes were very good and it’s white décor and clean-cut design make it inviting for me to step in and try something before I head back to work.

I had read somewhere that the Foret Noir (Blackforest cake) is very good but being a strawberry fan, I stuck to my strawberry shortcake ($6.80) and I am glad I did. The strawberry cake did not disappoint. It was light and full of strawberries and I like it pretty much. My friend ordered the Chocolate Obsession ($8.80) and he said it was great! This chocolate cake has a layered taste. Bitter followed by sweet and then nutty. I went to read up on the website and it says 70% Valrhona Guanaja Chocolate Mousse with a chocolate crème brulee centre on a Valrhona sponge base. Chocolate lovers, do check this out.

Their long black which I ordered to go with the cake was pretty average to me . I have to bring my hard-core blackforest fan husband back to try the Foret Noir.
