My friend and I were strolling along North Bridge Road to meet our hubbies at Bugis Junction and happened to chance upon Cake Delights bakery.
From their Facebook page, it stated that it’s owned and baked by Muslims so my Muslim friends have another new place to shop for their cakes.
Cake Delights Bakery has a cute pinkish flora theme, probably a place more for girls to hang out. From the flowery cushions to the small potted plants on the table and the chair pads on the wooden chairs, the owner tries to make the diners feel at home.
I was browsing through the cakes in the chiller and decided to order a rainbow cake to go along with my drink. Everything was served quickly and the staffs were really friendly. Seeing that my friend and I were feeling quite hot, she immediately went to lower the air conditioning for us! Kudos to the service!
The cake texture was slightly dry and the taste was pretty similar to a normal butter cake from any neighbourhood bakery. I can still taste the salted butter in the cream. I didn’t really enjoy the rainbow cake. For $7, I felt it was overpriced. However, the excellent service saved the day.
