Is AeroPress Coffee Maker A French Press?
An AeroPress coffee maker is equipment used for brewing coffee without the need for electricity. This machine was introduced in the market in year 2005 by Alan Adler. This coffee maker is a perfect gift if you have a coffee lover friend. Like any other coffee machines, it also has the ability to make and brew a rich and great tasting coffee easily and quickly. AeroPress consists of 2 Copolyester cylinders. The first cylinder is smaller than the other. It has a plunger that is made up of rubber. The smaller cylinder fits inside the larger one for it to create an airtight seal (like the feature of a syringe).

Aeropress coffee maker has a unique brewing style that permits the use of fine coffee grounds maximizing the intensity of flavor and applies force to squeeze out every last drop of goodness that is coming out from the coffee grounds. The micro-filter that this machine uses is able to make the most of the purity of the coffee, ensuring that every drop of the coffee is as smooth as possible. In addition, the machine can produce a disposable puck of coffee easily just by removing the cup and by pushing the plunger out. Cleaning of Aeropress is just a matter of seconds also. All you have to do is to take the cup of filter away, push the plunger, and then the coffee grounds will pop off, and pick it up and throw it straight with the bin. The other parts of this machine can also be rinsed with water quickly. Like the operation of espresso coffee machines, AeroPress pushes small amounts of water all the way through the coffee grounds.
This is a very good thing for you since coffee that was brewed longer don’t have a good taste at all. AeroPress is similar to French press but not really a French press. This is because French press leaves the coffee grounds twirling around in a large amount of water for a long period of time. Its wire screen (like a chicken wire) that is placed at the end of the plunger can push down large amount of the coffee grounds in the bottom of the said cylinder, and the coffee grounds are rather isolated from more steeping. However, the grounds are still being immersed in the water, and the brewing still occurs.
