Best single cup coffee maker has the "many" and the "large"!
Best single cup coffee maker definitely need to have many value add to fit into your idea of "best", don't you think so? But, what about the "large", why would it need to be big to be best?
Actually, both the "many" and the "large" refers to 2 capabilities of the best single cup coffee maker. You see, the main grouses about single serve coffee maker is the limited range. Unlike, normal drip or espresso coffee maker, single serve cannot use any types of coffee.
So, a single serve coffee maker that can take many varieties of coffee pods, really has a competitive advantage. That explains the "many", as for the "large", if you find it a chore to refill the water reservior frequently then you would understand why having this variable is a huge plus point!
Having said so much, which is the "best" that we would be discussing in this article? Do I hear a "not another article about the tassimo" or "it is about the Keurig coffee maker again?"
Sure, I touch on the above 2 single serve coffee makers alot, I really think they have so many capabilities. But, for now, I would like to highlight this single serve coffee machine from Bunn: My Cafe.
Now, this is really a personal choice, and many people might not agreed with me. To me, My Cafe deserves the best single cup coffee maker title simply because it has the "many" and the "large".
Bunn my cafe has this pod drawer instead of the usual pod holder. And this is the real magic behind its ability to take in any sizes of pods. In fact, at the time of this writing, My Cafe can take any pods that are currently available in the market.
While, that might not rival the variety that one have with espresso or drip coffee maker, that can use any coffee blends, it is really a very close second. Not forgetting the fact, that this is a single serve coffee machine, so now other than the ease of use, you have variety.
I would like to touch the size of its water reservoir, which is really huge. Depending on your consumption pattern, you can probably refill every few days. Oh, they call this a pour over system which means that for topping up of water, simply sliding open the top and pouring in the water.
And if you are really lazy, then you can even go for My cafe MCA (the My Cafe described above is known as the MCP) that is connected to a water source and can forget about topping up water ever again!
Of course, to be the best single cup coffee maker, My cafe has to have more value add than that, so it comes with the usual trappings, like energy saver, patented sprayhead, pulse-brew technology and so on.
Just to reaffirm that My cafe deserves the best single cup coffee maker title, I would like to touch on its "look and feel", which is towards the futuristic style. It is slim and tall, allowing for any sized of coffee mug and has a smaller footprint than most single serve. Yes, it is smaller than even the senseo...
