Restaurant Marketing ideas and trends' example: Free Coffee in Central Business District (CBD)
Location: Central Business District (CBD) | Singapore
Period: January to December 2019
There is a cafe or coffee shop on almost every corner in the Central Business District(CBD), but did you know, that it is actually possible to get free coffee in the CBD?
The CBD is an interesting environment to be in because of the prestige and grandeur of working there. There is an air of excitement and a buzz of activity, especially in the mornings.
Not unlike other cultures, in Singapore, one of the first things we do when we get to work is to pop over to our favourite coffee outlet to grab our favourite cup of coffee. This may be in the form of a traditional local kopi, a grande-size starbucks, a pleasant and sensible cup of gourmet coffee, or an artisan, specially-sourced single-origin specialty pour over.
How to enjoy Free Coffee in Singapore:
Depending on your choice of coffee, this daily ritual, which is sometimes replicated again in the afternoon, can set you back anywhere between $2 to $6. However, even in Singapore, it is actually possible to get free coffee in the CBD. Not limited to a one time off free cup of coffee, these outlets actually give out one free cup of coffee per person per week. Click here to get the free coffee e-Vouchers.
For a cup of coffee that you can pair with a quick lunch over casual settings, head over to Hermitage Quality Wines at One Shenton where you can choose any of their espresso-based offerings.

If you are located a little further towards Raffles Place, you can also grab a free coffee of the day from O’Coffee Club Xpress, which is located within Raffles Xchange. They also offer $2 pastries, and you can also pair your free coffee with a salad or sandwich from their take and go selection, or indulge in some comfort dishes in the form of pastas, burgers, and mains.
If you feel like having something a little healthier, you can also hop over to any of Saladstop’s 3 outlets located within the CBD, located at Capital Tower, MBFC, and The Sail. If you find the CBD too busy for your liking, you can also drop by Saladstop’s Tanglin Mall outlet located near River Valley where the same deal is available.
With these 5 outlets giving out free coffee in the CBD, theoretically you already have a week’s worth of coffee.

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).
In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:
