Pods vs Capsules

Are people aware how much waste and costs are associated with the Plastic capsules forms of coffee?

Lets look at Nespresso for example- each cap has 5.5gms of coffee contained. 1lb(454gms) this equals 82 capsules in a pound of coffee.

If the price of each capsule is 75 cents/ this means people are paying over $60.00 per/lb of coffee. Nestle loves this..

The waste materials that we are disposing on is all this is again the sadest part of all.

Filter Paper and coffee in soft pack pods will always make better sense to me.
