brewing coffee has not been a problem with with product

I have been using my coffee maker for a long time now and after much wear and tear, I discovered a small crack at the base of the carafe and I knew it was time to replace my carafe.

The design of the replacement carafe is not exactly very good, but I got used to it, and have not experienced a major spill.

I was reminded of this with the replacement that I bought, so we fixed it also.

When washing it in the dishwasher, the bottom of the handle is open and therefore retains water from the wash. Just a bit irritating.

So we fixed it. All you need to do is drill a tiny hole in the top of the handle and the water will drain out of the handle when you wash it.

The lid covers the hole. I guess this is one of the flaws cuisinart did not see during its quality control testing.

Anyways, brewing coffee has not been a problem with with product.
