Melitta Single Brew Coffee Maker

I have been using my melitta single serve coffee maker for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with it.

At first, it is very easy to use, and the instructions are so easy to follow. Cleaning it is also very easy to do, unlike my past coffee makers that is a pain to clean.

Having a single serve coffee maker is much better than a regular coffee because with my new melitta coffee maker, I always get the first cup of coffee and I am assured that it is always fresh all the time.

This machine releases a small amount of water to wet the pod and soak it thru and start the release of flavors, then it releases the remainder to brew and the full cup. It's a two part release of the hot water.Push the large cup button to brew a regular sized mug.

I bought one and put my own home made pod in an then pushed the button. It started making excellent foaming coffee then it stopped. why? I did it again and reduced the amount of coffee, and it did the same thing but then started up again, is this normal? the senseo machine doesn't do that.
