Not all pump espresso machines are expensive. The cheaper ones usually require more care, and they are usually inconsistent when making a great cup of espresso everytime.

But, if you're not willing to buy a high priced espresso maker, and if you're willing to give it a bit more care, then this espresso machine is a great buy.

The Breville ESP8XL Cafe Roma Stainless Espresso Maker. It gets great reviews because it costs less than other pump driven espresso machines, but it makes great espresso.

It makes great crema, and it foams well. However, this machine does demand a little more attention. Its filter tends to get clogged if your grounds are too fine.

If you can get the grounds just right, though, or if you're going to use pods, then clogging won't be an issue.

Overall, this espresso machine does demand more attention, but it's a great buy if you can get it right.
