How to clean coffee makers

Coffee makers are an environment that favors rapid growth or development for mold spores.

Regular monthly cleaning is an essential routine to make sure that your coffee tastes great and is healthy.

Prepare a mixture of 3 cups white vinegar to 6 cups water, put in a coffee filter as normal, pour the mixture into the water compartment.

Run the mixture through a half brew cycle and sit for 30 to 60 minutes, allowing time for the vinegar solution to tackle any mineral and mold buildup.

After an hour of the interval, run the brew cycle again allowing the rest of the solution to brew through the coffee maker again.

You will see white and brown bits in the water, which is an indication that the carafe is cleansed.

Pour out the vinegar solution, use warm water, sponge, and soap to clean out the carafe.

After rinsing it, pour fresh water into the carafe, run the brew cycle three times with three to five-minute intervals to cool the machine between the cycles.
