How to prevent coffee heartburn?

People suffers from coffee heartburn to these two main variables:

  • The quantity of the coffee you are drinking
  • The quality of the coffee you are drinking

So, if you want to prevent coffee heartburn, you will need to:

  • Reduce the number of cups of coffee you are drinking
  • Change the type of coffee you are drinking

We all like coffee because of the caffeine. We need the caffeine to be strong and bold to keep us up around the clock. And of course, sometimes, in order to stay awake, we drink more than our body can take.

In fact, just drinking five cups in a row can give you a stomach ache. Experts suggest that 4-7 cups per day are over caffeination and it will result in heartburn.

So, the first to prevent heartburn is to simply take note on your coffee consumption and reduce it. If you do not feel well taking 4 cups, cut it by half and stop at 2 cups.

Changing the type of coffee is another variable to prevent coffee heartburn.

Choose and drink Shade-Grown Coffee:
What is the difference between Shade-Grown coffee and Sun-Grown coffee?

  • Sun-Grown coffee is lower in quality, and cheaper to produce. They grow faster under the strong rays of the sun, which is the reason it’s cheaper, but it's higher in acidity and bitterness.

  • Shade-Grown beans are much less likely to cause problems with coffee heartburn because they have less acidity.

Drink 100% Arabica Coffee:

Arabica beans contain less caffeine, are superior in taste and have a smoother, sweeter taste of chocolate and sugar flavor notes, and also have hints of fruits or berries.
