A red light indicates that your Bosch TASSIMO coffee machine has to be descaled. The descaling indicator light is located at the bottom of the majority of TASSIMO machines.
This is the red light on the Tassimo machine front. You will require Tassimo descaling pills and some patience. To begin, remove the water tank and fill it with cold water to the descaling mark. Add two descaling tablets to the water and allow to dissolve until the tablets dissolve and the water turns clear.
What happens if your coffee machine is not descaled? ... If the water cannot reach the appropriate brewing temperature, the entire flavor of the coffee beans cannot be extracted. Mineral scale building can obstruct water flow and, if left unchecked, can cause a machine to fail to operate.
This is easily remedied by diluting vinegar with water in a ratio of one part vinegar to two parts water. For example, using one cup vinegar and two cups of water creates a cleansing fluid that is as good at descaling and cleaning as any Tassimo cleaning disc.
