Coffee Bean Journey - From Harvest
to Cups

Harvested coffee cherries are washed and carefully separated the perfect ripe fruit from the unripe, overripe, or damaged ones.

The processing method determines the coffee flavor and aroma in the final cup, depending on the processes:

a) Sun-dry. . . originated from Ethiopia, the fruit remains on the beans and dries undisturbed and it's dependent on climatic conditions to ensure the drying of the fruit and seed in time often result of unripe fruit drying and turning brown alongside ripe fruits resulting in inconsistent flavor. But it is the most eco-friendly.

b) Honey. . . process that changes the metabolic significantly altering the chemical composition of the raw beans.

c) Washed. . .washed coffees highlight the true character of a single origin bean like no other process. Depending on the country of origin, environmental factors such as soil, weather, ripeness, fermentation, washing, and drying conditions. Many specialty coffees are washed.
