How many grams of coffee beans a cup of espresso has?

The word espresso means "instant" or "express", which refers to a  unique brewing method that forces hot water through a bed of very finely ground coffee.

Espresso is thick, flavorful, and highly concentrated with the top layer known as the "crema" which is of smooth tight bubbles that is the aromatic and creamy signature of good espresso.

Can be adjusted, depending on individual taste preference. Commonly one to two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water.

Generally, to have a simplicity of a beautiful espresso shot, the cup size is between 2-3 fluid ounces.

A shot of espresso is one (fluid) ounce, while a double shot is two (fluid) ounces. 30 mL is one fluid ounce (by weight being 28 g). This is the water volume that gets passed through the espresso.

The proper Dose for 1 shot should be between 7-9 grams, and 14-18 grams for a double shot, depending on the type of machine and how strong you prefer your coffee.

Arabica coffee beans are used, but some professional baristas add 10-15% of high-quality robusta beans to enhance the crema.
