Can You Roast Coffee With
An Air Fryer . . .

I'm no expert, but I had heard some conflicting opinions about this roasting method, and so, I wanted to check it out myself.

In this article, I'll share pieces of information on roasting coffee beans in an air fryer. The air fryer method produces a really even roast, thanks to the convection technology they employ.

Roasting allows you to use freshly roasted beans in your daily cup of coffee as compared to those you purchase at the shop and have likely been there for weeks at least. Coffee only stays at its flavorful peak for a few weeks, meaning store-bought has much less flavor.

Roasting your own gives you full control over the flavor and boldness of the beans. You have more choice of flavors once you choose the raw, unroasted beans yourself, and are typically less expensive than buying pre-roasted beans.

The air fryer method . . . heat the appliance to 450F. Place green coffee beans within the basket during a single layer. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, keeping an in-depth eye on the color of the beans.

It's not just the taste of the coffee but the whole experience. Inhaling the nutty, sweet, and smoky aroma of the roasted beans, grinding them with my new burr grinder, and eventually brewing with my French press.

Every morning for its simplicity and serenity, drinking a cup of joe, you roasted yourself is often incredibly satisfying.

About US | OCM Profile

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).

In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:

OCM's Events: F&B Industry events by or with OCM

Check out this restaurant marketing guide to learn more about the many campaigns and companies we have worked with.

Since then, we have also created many marketing workshops and classes for the F&B industry. Many of these modules are still running in tertiary institutions such as Temasek Polytechnic Skillsfuture Academy and also ITE College East COC classes, below are some snippets of our lectures and workshops:
