How long does coffee last?

There are many factors, such as the method of the bean’s processing and its storage condition.

If stored properly, dried coffee can last for months or even years beyond the dates printed on the packaging. 

So, how long does coffee last, and if coffee expires, does it matter whether it has caffeine or is decaffeinated. 

Usually “best before date” is printed, which means that the coffee is safe for consumption after that date if it's properly stored.

How to tell if Coffee is bad . . . smell for the pleasant aroma. If it’s gone, much of the taste will be gone too, and the dark color will appear lighter. Using them is not harmful, you will just not have any flavor.

Depending on how particular you are about the taste of your coffee. An increased amount may regain a stronger coffee taste.

Buying whole beans and then grinding them as needed for maximum freshness and coffee flavor. 

To lock out moisture and other contaminants, store these beans in a tightly closed container and place it in a cool, dry place.

You can achieve a coffee-store taste by simply pre-grind your beans, place them in an airtight container then place the grounds in the freezer for use during the week.
