How To Work A Bunn Coffee Machine?

BUNN coffee makers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with varying degrees of functionality. This user manual is intended to assist you in getting the most enjoyment out of your BUNN coffee maker.

The operation of a Bunn coffee maker is straightforward. The brewer uses a special pipe to force the water to the bottom of the tank after you've poured it in from a carafe filled with cold, filtered water. This is because the hot water remaining in the water tank is pushed upward by the cold water as it rises.

Among the models we'll cover are the BX, GR, BT, ST, and NHS Velocity Brew that are among the most popular.

You should become familiar with the following parts of your brewer:

  1. Brewer Funnel Lid (all models)
  2. Internal Hot Water Tank (all models)
  3. Glass Lid for Carafe (for these models - GR, BX, NHS)
  4. Carafe in glass (for these models - GR, BX, NHS)
  5. Plate Warmer (for these models - GR, BX, NHS)
  6. Thermal Carafe Lid (BT and ST models)
  7. Thermal Carafe (BT and ST models)
  8. Spray-head Power On Light (ST model)
  9. Warmer Switch (GR, BX, NHS models)
  10. Vacation Switch – The location will vary depending on the model.

Until you finish these steps, don't plug in your brew machine.

  1. In the funnel guide, put an empty brew funnel in the middle of the guide.
  2. Lift or slide the lid of the brew kettle.
  3. Make sure you put in the whole water carafe.
  4. Make sure the carafe is on the base of the brew funnel, and then put it on the ground.
  5. Some of the water may take three minutes before it starts to fill up the tank.
  6. Repeat until the tank is full. It will take about two carafes to fill the tank.
  7. After each fill, make sure to put the carafe back in the base of the machine.
  8. Close the lid now.

It's time to plug in the brewing machine.

It's time to turn the vacation switch on. Press the bottom of the switch to turn it on. It is on the left side of the machine, near the bottom. It warms up the machine. It may take 15 minutes for the machine to reach the right temperature for brewing, but it will be worth it when it is done.

  • Follow these steps to brew your first cup:
  • In the brew funnel, insert a BUNN coffee filter.
  • To ensure a more consistent brew, measure out the desired amount of coffee grounds and pour them onto the filter.
  • Step 2: Place the filter guide on top of the brewing funnel.
  • The lid can be popped open.
  • 4-10 cups of water in the carafe should be plenty.
  • The brewer should be filled with water.
  • Unless you're using a ST or BT model, turn on the warmer.
  • The brewing process will begin once the lid is closed.

About US | OCM Profile

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).

In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:
