How Many Scoops Of Coffee
For 6 Cups?

What Is the Appropriate Amount of Coffee to Use Per Cup?

The majority of people who drink coffee on a daily basis can easily prepare their preferred servings of coffee to perfection. They have learned how much coffee to use and how much water to use. If you're used to making a single cup, what happens when you need to make a pot? When you are making coffee for a crowd, how much do you use, compared to when you just need coffee for yourself and a friend?

  • How Much Coffee Is in a Cup?
Begin with a simple, single cup of coffee combining 250 mL of water and 15 grams of ground coffee.

  • How many tablespoons of coffee should be in each cup? Most people do not weigh their coffee grounds, so instead of doing that, simply use this simple ratio. Fill a medium-sized saucepan with 8 oz. of water and add 2 tbsp. of ground coffee. Drip, French press, and pour-over coffee makers have an ideal coffee to water ratio of four to one. This is quite strong. If you'd like something a bit weaker, you can reduce the amount of coffee in your cup to between 1 – 1.5 tablespoons.

  • How Many Scoops of Coffee Are in a Cup?
To get a strong cup of coffee, you need one scoop of coffee for each cup of coffee you're making. If you are trying to make weaker coffee, go with 1 scoop of coffee for 2 cups, or 1.5 scoops for 2 cups.

  • The Number Of Cups In A Coffee Pot
There are differences between a standard US cup of liquid (8 oz.) and a cup of coffee, which is why this is the case (6 oz.). In addition, the measurements on the outside of your coffee pot may not accurately reflect the measurements in your cup as well. For example, 6 cups of coffee brewed in a coffee maker yield 36 ounces of brewed coffee, which equates to 4.5 8-ounce cups of coffee per person.

About US | OCM Profile

OCM (OnCoffeeMakers.com) was started in 2007 with the first webpage about coffee machines. And for a number of years, we focused on helping people find their desired coffee machine (we still are helping folks with that! So, if you are looking for coffee machines for office or restaurants - check out the link).

In 2010, we started getting enquiries on restaurant marketing and we start to help food and beverage brands with their marketing. Below are campaigns and events that we have done over the years:

Check out this restaurant marketing guide to learn more about the many campaigns and companies we have worked with.

Since then, we have also created many marketing workshops and classes for the F&B industry. Many of these modules are still running in tertiary institutions such as Temasek Polytechnic Skillsfuture Academy and also ITE College East COC classes, below are some snippets of our lectures and workshops:
