Starting a coffee shop?: Free Cafe Setup cost Calculator

The first time my friend and I went down to check out this café, it was closed due to a private event. So the smarter me decided to look up their facebook page for updates before I go down a second time. I dragged two of my old buddies to join me on my second attempt.

With a pinch of salt is located along the stretch of Tanjong Katong Road, nestled in the midst of a district with lots of good eateries. The colourful and cheerful exterior of the café will definitely catch your attention. Also, they did up a beautiful tiled wall with the café’s name right outside.

When I stepped into the café, I was totally mesmerized. I thought I was brought into dreamland where cute little monsters exist. The whole interior of the café had a very kiddy setting due to the lights and cute little decorations used. There were also many beautiful cartoon pictures hanged on the wall! We heard from the owner that those pictures were designed by her close friend. I believe little children will love this cafe. At the same time, with some popular old school music playing, this café will also be a nice place to have a meetup with some old school friends.

We ordered their crispy garlic wings($8.90) and bread and butter pudding($4.90). It took quite awhile for the food to be served so be prepared to wait abit. When the crispy garlic chicken wings were served, the smell of it made us drool. I love the crispiness of the chicken but the garlic taste wasn't strong enough for a garlic lover like me. However, it's still a good fried chicken.

As for the bread and butter pudding, it was pretty sweet. For people who have low threshold for sugar, I will suggest that you order another dessert. The texture of it was quite chewy but slightly dry. It left a little cinnamon and caramel aftertaste.

If you have little girls or girlfriends, you might want to bring them to check ‘With a Pinch of Salt’ out. Their décor is just too cute to give them a miss. It’s a rather nice place to hold birthday parties as well.
