Me and my wife drink alot of coffee in my at home and we like luxurious coffees.

It's our one of our lets say, getaway. We also use distilled water to brew our coffee. We have found the DTC-975BKN to be easy to use, program, operate, and it makes great coffee.

We always, because of our level of consumption, brew at the maximum of 10 cups of coffee, so I can't comment on its performance with short pots.

The stainless steel thermal carafe does a great job of keeping the coffee hot, it is also very durable.

Also, because it is metal and not a glass vacuum flask, there is no danger in dropping it unless it lands on your toe. I love this coffee maker a whole lot!
