The Capresso mt500 plus coffee maker is great!I have been using this unit for 6 weeks now and I have no regrets in buying it.

The concept of not letting the coffee sit on a hot burner makes a lot of sense to me. The coffee is very hot and tastes very good. I take a little more time to rinse the various parts than with previous units, but this is not a problem at all to me.

The design that keeps the coffee hot allows for a small spout. Although it pours very well, it is slower and takes about 7-8 seconds to fill a big mug vs 2-3 seconds with a conventional model, that sometimes usually just spill out.

Again this is not a problem for me. The coffee maker is great looking and fits in well on my countertop.
