Strange Complaints About Krups Coffee Maker

I was astonished to read about a lot of complaints and bad reviews about a Krups Coffee Maker. I find it strange because Krups has a good reputation of producing good quality coffee makers.

The Krups FMF5 seems to be getting a lot of complaints because of its poor construction. Bubbles form in the machine, which makes it hard to know how much water is in the machine.

Second, it tends to leak both water and brewed coffee from the base.

Third, the carafe tends to spill, since the flow of the coffee tends to be broad. Finally, the coffee it makes has a weird aftertaste.

Anyway, I haven't used this coffee maker so I cannot confirm this; however, reading complaints, such as these, about a Krups Coffee Maker is quite astonishing.

I cannot say, with absolute confidence, that these problems must boil down to user error, but there are quite a number of complaints about this unit.
