As I walked down Haji Lane to shop for clothes, Shop Wonderland caught my attention. The unique shop front stirred the curiosity out of me so I popped in to take a look. Apparently, Shop Wonderland houses a café and a lifestyle retail store. The café also known as The Pantry is on the first level while the retail store is on the second.
I love the lights used in the café, mainly the hanging lamps. Not sure if I can describe the café style as Parisian chic, but the café’s furnishings and ornaments reminded me of a café in France. Alfresco seating on the outside and the interior exudes the cozy feel. I love the way they use natural elements like dried flowers and wreaths to decorate the place. It simply freshens up my mood.
The gorgeous display of cakes tempted me to take a quick break for tea. It was hard to choose as the cakes looked great and I wanted to try a few of them. I was in the mood for chocolate and ice-cream though, so I settled for their chocolate molten lava cake ($8).
The chocolate cake was served on a simple wooden plate but the taste of the cake was awesome! The molten lava cake was really soft and it melts in the mouth. As usual, the vanilla ice-cream complemented the chocolate cake really well. I would recommend you to try it too!
Overall, this is a nice place with good cakes. I will definitely come back and visit Shop Wonderland again.
