Senseo Pod Coffee Maker does good

by Tim Stevens
(Juntion City, Oregon, USA)

Senseo machine like mine

Senseo machine like mine

When it first came to the US several years ago, I was reluctant to purchase this machine. I waited for all of 6 months before I bought my first one and I wont turn back now.

I have had it for about 5 years now. It still looks as great as it did when I first bought it, I have replaced nothing on this just maintaining it once monthly.

When I think of the perfect sindle-serve coffee pod machine, this is all I need for me. I have tried a few others and they just dont stand up to my standards. The Senseo pod machine always delivers a nice, sweet, frothy cup of coffee every time.

It used to have only 4 flavors of coffee available which was ok with me at that time (mild, regular, dark and decaf). It now comes in flavors that I am not aware of yet.

My most favorite, and recommended, flavor is the paris flavor. It is a nice rich dark bodied coffee with hints of vanilla.

Most of the time I dont need to even add any sweetener to cut the bitterness down. When I do add something, it is usually just some agave nectar which is similar to honey but imparts and even better taste in my opinion.

The newer Senseo machines can now brew tea as well and have clocks with timers. Just more stuff to break down on a machine whose price has not dropped since it arrived to the US (yet).

I believe it is worth every penny of value though after the 5 years I have had mine and it is still brewing really strong with no hint it is wearing out at all.

If I could give it a star rating, I would rate this pod brewer a 5 star rating in my opinion.
