Nestle Vs Green Mountain Coffee Roasters

by Chee Leng
(Singapore)

Nestle Dolce Gusto

Nestle Dolce Gusto

It has just been announced that nestle SA, would be selling its Dolce Gusto Coffee maker in Wal-Mart stores starting from this month.

Here we are talking about 2000 outlets across United states. This time round, Nestle is bring the battle right to the door step of another Coffee Giant -Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR).

With over 2000 outlets selling the Dolce Gusto, it would inevitably challenge the sales of Keurig brewer that is marketed BY GMCR.

The season shopping would show who has the upper hand, but with an October entrance into the market, Nestle is obviously gunning for the Christmas pie as well.

With a selling price of $89.88 and backed by the savvy Nestle marketing machine, it is poised to challenge the $99.95 keurig brewer.

The only plus point about keurig at this juncture remains to be its variety, in 3 months time, we would know who won the fight.
