Green coffee beans can help you lose weight
It is true, taking coffee regularly can reduce your weight and it is deem as a good alternative to use for weight management.
This is what the American Chemical Society (ACS) or the world's largest scientific society presented.
But, it has a catch. What works is the green coffee beans. Participants are given does of green coffee beans and thereafter, on average the participants lost an average of 17 pounds (8 kg).
This results is collected after a 22 week period where 16 participants are given extract of green coffee beans that is also high in coffee polyphenols.
According to ACS, what causes this reduction in weight is the substance known as chlorogenic acid and it is only present in green coffee beans.
Once it is roasted, the chlorogenic acid would break down.
So, folks, you probably cannot lose much weight with your regular joe. My $0.02
Personally, I think this would be one of the better weight control alternative in the market. The reasons being it is safe because it is a plant and it is definitely not as expensive as other slimming drug.
I don't know about you reading it, but to lose 17 pounds over 22 weeks is fantastic and it is reported that there is no changes done to their lifestyle, i.e. they still do their normal routine.
In addition, I think this would slowly evolved into something that is more "RTD" ready to drink. It could be in the form of powder or pre-mixed drink.
But, the potential is huge. We must all remember that Coca Cola started as a drug so the potential for this to evolve into a slimming drink is huge.
Especially, when the side effects is almost non existent.
So, soon we might really have a slimming coffee...
