If you want to look at La Pavoni’s ‘Ideale’ , do you?

by Chee Leng
(Singapore)

La Pavoni Ideale

La Pavoni Ideale

The question might be, why would I want to look for La Pavoni 'Ideale' in the first place.

This is because, this espresso machine can be consider to be the grandfather of all espresso machines. Build in 1905, this is not only one of the first espresso machines, but THE machine that changed the world view on coffee.

Most of us know that La Pavoni kept to the way coffee is being brewed, you still need to pull a shot of espresso (i.e. la Pavoni Europiccola is one good example).

Anyway, if you want to look at this vintage espresso maker, you would be able to catch a glimpse of it in London.

There is this Italian, Enrico Maltoni that would be bringing 20 plus pieces of vintage espresso brewers to London to participate in the Caffe Culture exhibition from 23-25th June.

With this article is a snap shot of how the 'Ideale' from La Pavoni looks like, to really get a closer look you would have to attend the caffe culture in London...
