Currently, Tim Hortons is the largest quick service restaurants in Canada and across North America, it is the fourth largest.

If you think about the number of quick service restaurants in Canada and in North America, you would know that even being the fourth largest is no easy feat.

Of course, to be able to grow this big means big consumption for Tim Hortons main product -coffee, but high demand is not the only thing.

Tim Hortons is being listed as one of the 14 companies in IBD restaurants' group that pay dividends.

Tim Hortons pay between 20-25% of its net income to its shareholders. This means it is earning good money as well.

In fact, in their report, other than a dip in 2008, they are doing double digit growth every year since 2003, this is not easy if you know how competitive F&B is.

And their projected growth for 2011 is 13%, another double digit year.

Sure, much of it must be credited to the good management and marketing of Tim Hortons leadership team. Then again, if you do not have a good product to start with, no amount of marketing can save you.

And that product is coffee, Tim Hortons after all is still consider a coffee shop business right? Profit and high consumption.

That might be the reason why so many folks is interested in opening cafe and doing coffee shop business...
