International Coffee Day 1st October
1st October 2015 will be the first official International Coffee day! The announcement is made on 14th July by Roberio Oliveira Silva. The executive director of the international Coffee Organisation (ICO) also announced that the first official international Coffee day will be celebrated by the 26 coffee associations around the world and the 74 member states of the ICO.
Coffee day has been celebrated around the world, the most popular date being 29 September that is being observed in US. It is good that there is an official date to recognised the coffee industry’s diversity and passion.
It will also be a good opportunity for coffee lovers to shout out their love for coffee by giving some form of support to the coffee famers.
The campaign will kick start in August 2015, with the help of social media shouting out and getting more people to take note and celebrate the first official coffee day.
