Death By Coffee -yes, coffee kills...

by Chee Leng
(Singapore)

Death by coffee

Death by coffee

In two separate incidents, deaths has occurred and coffee is said to be the culprit.

In the first scenario, a 23 year old man was killed and his death is diagnosed as caffeine overdosed.

So, how much cups of coffee did he drink? This is important so that you know how much coffee you can take in order to avoid such tragedy.

He took in the equivalent of 70 cans of red bulls, so my estimate is it is close to 100 cups of coffee. How in the world did he achieve that?

He took pure caffeine.

The recommendation is 1/16th of a spoon, he took 2 full spoons and that was enough to kill him.

So, no need to worry, even if you tried, it is not that possible to drink up to 100 cups of coffee per day right?

In another case, a lady was killed and the man who killed her claimed that caffeine was the culprit. He claimed that he suffers from caffeine insanity and was not responsible for his actions.

Can drinking too much coffee really drives one to insanity -not for me. Guess, anything done to the extreme would have some forms of side effects.

So, no worries just drink as you often did and it is unlikely that anything would happen to you!:)
