Cornerstone has a dimly lit ambience, furnished with cozy sofa chairs. It has a romantic feel as well where you can bring your significant other and take an evening stroll through the park after a sumptuous meal.
Though it was a weekday evening, there was still a rather large crowd in the cafe. It seems that people do not mind travelling here for the food after a busy workday.
We had the Buffalo Wings (Level 1) 6pcs at $15.These large wings were served with a drizzle of sweet and spicy sauce. The meat was tender and juicy, and the chicken skin was fried to perfection. Every single bite was worth the calories. The spicier you want your buffalo wings, the pricier it was. They have progressive levels of spiciness to level 10, which only the braver souls will dare to try. I see myself returning a second time to try the other levels.
We also tried the Flaming BOMB Alaska ($15). It consisted of a baked Meringue on the exterior, wrapped around a generous helping of chocolate and strawberry gelato. A flame of brandy was poured onto the external meringue layer to add a crisp texture to it, just like BBQ-ed marshmallows. It was served in an extremely impressive display. However the flame left some parts of the meringue layer a little too burnt for my liking. The gelato ice cream had a rich and smooth texture, complementing the warm meringue layer.
