Community Coffee - anytime anywhere

by Mary
(Four Oaks, NC)

Louisiana introduced me to many delights. In some ways it is like traveling to a foreign country.

It is not set up like the other states with counties, but with parishes. The inhabitants range from good ole boys, to "coon asses" to bible thumping baptists with some ordinary folks thrown in.

The food is spicy, the language is cajun but no matter where in Lousiana you go the coffee is Community Brand.

Even the most devout northern black coffee drinker will order cream in Cajun country. The coffee is robust and strong.

Stand up your spoon strong. Kick you in the guts strong, but so very flavorful and - coffee like.

Like most tourists I was introduced to Louisana coffee in New Orleans with a beniet on the side.

That is good. But the real treat for me is without the chicory in one of the restaurant blends of Community Coffee.

Unfortunately we left Lousiana and moved back north. I have wonderful memories of the state, its people, food and yes the hurricanes.

But the coffee is still mine. I discovered it online!!
