I think a thermal coffee pot is really important for every coffee maker.

As for my cafe mattino filter coffee maker, I love its feature that it has a thermal coffee pot so that my coffee can retain its heat even when left for a couple of hour.

I think if you keep on re heating your coffee, it tends to lose its flavors and at one point it just becomes too bland and you have to make another batch.

One more thing, a thermal coffee pot is much better than a glass pot because it is obviously very much durable. It can withstand all the bumps and is much easier to clean.
