Aphrodisiac coffee in UK is being launched -we have that locally, don't we?

De'Longhi's Amore Del Caffe Nescafe-Tongkat-Ali

If you are residing in South East Asia, then you would be familiar with Tongkat Ali? This is a malay form of herbs that supposedly have aphrodisiac properties.

I do not know if this is still available locally, but Nescafe even have a blend of 3-in-1 that have Tongkat ALi inside!

So, coffee with aphrodisiac properties is not new. I did not research into this, but I believe there are a few more brands of coffee regionally with such properties.

Anyway, here we are talking about De'Longhi's Amore Del Caffe (no, nothing to do with Delonghi the coffee machine brand, just happened to share the same name).

It used a unique coffee bean (Indian Monsooned Malabar) and blend with oyster essence (in the description, the oysters are from South East Asia, so our oysters are better?:)

More on the beans, it is supposed to be rare (read: expensive), it is said to soak moisture from the air because it is left out in the open during monsoon.

So, you have beans that have been out in the rain that is rare and oysters caught in South East Asia then blend and sold in a luxury lingerie store Rigby & peller in london.

Question on everyone's mind -how much? The retail price for a 100 g of this is 39 pounds. That is about almost S$80. A 200 g packets of coffee you purchase from Starbucks costs you about S$12.00. Yes, this coffee is expensive.

Drop us a comment on any other coffee you know that have such properties.
