This 12 cup coffee maker is one of those that have received raving reviews from many high profile coffee maker ratings. But, do not take their word for it that it is good, decide if these features that comes with this brewer is useful to you.

Also known as the brew central coffee maker, this 12 cup coffee maker from cuisinart has many loyal fans. In fact, most of them are converts that abandon their existing coffee machines to start a new coffee relationship with this cuisinart.

If you asked me what is the single one thing that has won this coffee machine with a 12 cup capacity so many followers, it would be the taste. Tried the coffee from this cuisinart brew central then compared it with other similar capacity coffee brewer and you would appreciate the better quality coffee.

The better coffee is not due to some technological break through or special feature that was incorporated, it is merely due to the better quality water that was used by the brew central coffee brewer.

Most of us uses tap water to brew coffee. This is known as hard water which is filled with impurities that is the reason why at times, your coffee would has a foul taste. The water that is recommended for brewing is known as soft water, water that are free from impurities.

Of course, the better quality water that the cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker uses is soft water and they got this better water simply because of the charcoal filter that is present in the brewer before water touches the coffee ground.

And if there is just one reason why you would buy this machine, it would be this. But, many other coffee makers also have water filter of their own, for example braun actually partnered with brita in order to achieve a better quality of water.

If I would to choose, I would prefer a machine that comes with a thermal carafe, but those that comes with it would also have a higher price tier. It is not possible to get a programmable coffee machine that comes with a high quality thermal carafe below $100.

This cuisinart is priced at $79, and it is considered economical for a programmable coffee maker, the norm for this pricing is to have a warmer plate, but cuisinart manages to add in some surprises to even this warmer plates.

Warmer plate actually spoils more coffee than keeping them fresh! The thermostat that controls their temperature cannot really maintain it so it would always end up burning the brew.

With the adjustable brew keep warm temperature control, cuisinart hand over the control of temperature to you, and if you bother to monitor the temperature, you can be assured that your coffee would not be burnt.

So, if you are looking for a high capacity coffee maker, then this 12 cup coffee maker from cuisinart would be the perfect choice given the pricing and the features that comes with it.
